Futurist Investments Guyana Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Dynamic Positioning Officer for current and upcoming opportunities supporting Guyana’s oil & gas and industrial projects. The role will support marine activities across onshore and/or offshore assignments, with a strong focus on safe execution, quality, reliability and effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor dynamic-positioning systems during offshore vessel operations.
- Maintain a safe navigational watch and monitor position-reference, power and propulsion-system status.
- Respond to DP alarms, degraded modes and operational changes in accordance with vessel procedures.
- Complete DP checklists, logs, trials and handovers and maintain accurate operational records.
- Coordinate with bridge, engine-room, marine and offshore project teams during critical activities.
- Comply with STCW, DP operating guidelines, marine assurance and HSE requirements.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification/certification: STCW; DP certification.
- Relevant experience: 3–8+ years.
- Demonstrated capability in DP systems, bridge operations.
- Strong understanding of HSE, permit-to-work and safe-work practices relevant to the assigned role.
- Ability to work at offshore/project locations and meet applicable medical, safety and rotation requirements.
- Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills; able to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
